Dr. Lindsey Rogers, DVM
Description
Dr. Lindsey Rogers, DVM
Dr. Lindsey Rogers is our new associate veterinarian. She brings with her a special interest in veterinary medicine including internal medicine cases, lameness and rehabilitation. Dr. Rogers is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, obtaining certification at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida in 2014.
Dr. Rogers is local to the area, growing up in Barrie and attending Barrie North Collegiate before getting her Honours degree in the Biomedical Science program at the University of Guelph. She then graduated top of class from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2011.
Lindsey’s passion for the wellbeing of animals began at an early age; she remembers having a special fondness for her family’s pet cats and attending vet visits with her parents. Dr. Rogers has remained a Simcoe resident and has spent the last 8 years working in a small animal practice in Barrie. Her and her husband Eric live in Springwater where they spend their time getting together with friends for game nights or catching up on the news.
When not at home or the cottage, Lindsey and Eric spend their time taking care of their pet family: Carter, a 6 year old golden retriever who is the best behaved of the bunch, always willing to please and greet you with a toy; Ernie, a smooth coated Brussels Griffon puppy, is the new addition to the clan who always has the family laughing at his antics; and Lenny and Carl – 11 year old domestic shorthair brothers. Lenny can be found anywhere there is food or a plastic bag to chew on. Carl can be found screaming outside the bedroom door at 6am when it is time for love.
