Ceiling Painting

Description

Preparation is the majority of the work when it comes to painting ceilings.
We try to remove all small items from the room we are about to paint.
All the furniture is covered with plastic and all floors are covered with drop clothes.
The preferred paint for ceilings is a latex paint with minimal sheen (flat).
Roof leaks, overflowing sinks, tabacco smoke, and big spills can all leave ugly ceiling stains or dinginess that is impossible to conceal with plain old paint. We believe to use a good quality stain-blocking primer and all the troubles are gone for good.
  • For smooth ceilings we always give a quick once-over sanding with 100-grit drywall sanding paper. This helps ensure a perfect smooth paint job and increases paint bonding.
  • We always do two coats of paint on the ceiling in opposite directions.
Don’t be afraid to deviate from plain old white. Painting the ceiling a colour can make a small room seem bigger, or a room with a high ceiling seem more intimate. Plus, it’s just more interesting.
Setting up a colour consultation can help you with choosing complementary wall and ceiling colours.
