Lawn Core Aeration Service
Description
Lawn Core Aeration Service
Aeration - a process of pulling plugs from the lawn to allow air and water to flow more free and at the same time control compaction and some fungus. This process will also help to assist when overseeding.
- Mechanical removal of a small core of soil and thatch which does not damage to healthy grass plants
- Should be done at least once per year- Spring and/or Fall
- Encourages a healthy lawn
- Reduces maintenance by allowing water, fertilizer and oxygen to reach the roots
- Reduces lawn water bills by reducing amount of water run-off and pooling
- Releases compaction of soil and gives roots room to grow
- Reduces excess thatch which can contribute to lawn disease and damaging insects
- Allows roots to grow deeper and spread further
- Increases oxygen in the soil allowing roots to grow deep into the ground
- Yearly treatments increase drought and stress tolerance
- Core plugs of soil will break up and disappear into the soil in 1 - 2 weeks
- Recommend Core Aeration and Overseed for insect damaged lawns
You may wish to overseed when you aerate. Seeds fall into aeration holes and are almost sure to germinate.
