About Us

YMCA Employment Service offers drop-in job search services for everyone as well as one-on-one supported job search with a Job Coach for those unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week.
Drop in services include a job board, workshops, computers with internet for job searching, resume and cover letter preparation as well as a fax, scanner and phone.
Working one-on-one with a Job Coach includes an initial meeting to determine the best and quickest way to get you back to work.  Ongoing support from a Job Coach will assist you in carrying out your plan, being matched with jobs, possible placement with a wage subsidy, a mentoring program and assistance keeping your job.

Employer Services include job postings, screening, matching and trials.  Placements with wage subsidies may be available as well as access to staff training dollars.

YMCA Learning Services works with individuals requiring support in academic upgrading (non-credit), reading/writing and math, basic computer and life skills, GED and ACE preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL).  This training may be one-on-one with a tutor, in groups with an instructor, and in the computer learning lab.
