December is here and so is the snow which makes the trees here in Muskoka look beautiful. The Christmas Spirit is alive and well with houses being decorated inside and out making the excitement and anticipation of this Christmas Season contagious. Creating your own winter wonderland is a wonderful family activity that stands out in the minds, hearts and memories of kids, big and small, for years and years to come. One of our family's favourite past times is driving around looking at all the magnificent lights and displays that people took great care in creating for others to enjoy. The hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season has begun. The stores are all decorated, the sales are on and everyone is out and about searching for the perfect gifts for friends and family. Christmas is about giving and receiving. I love the concept of giving in any way shape or form and over the years I have realized that it gives me more joy to give then it does to receive. To see my children's faces light up when they come out of their bedrooms on Christmas morning is absolutely priceless to me. In my house we do not put any gifts under the Christmas Tree until the kids have gone to bed on Christmas Eve. It creates more excitment and suspense for Christmas Morning. They cannot wait to get up and see what the living room looks like. In order to pull this off we need to hide every gift extremely well to fool our very bright children and with living in a small home it is impossible to do. We realized very quickly that we could not hide the gifts at home and began hiding them inside our storage unit. With it being climate controlled we are able to store any gift there without fear of damage. If you are having problems hiding gifts from your little detectives we can help. It is a month to month tenancy here giving you the freedom to leave when the time is right for you. Even if it is just for one month. ONE MONTH from today it will be Christmas Day. I am not sure about you but that snuck up on me rather quickly and I am no where near prepared. Still need to find my Christmas decorations in our storage unit, decorate the house, shop, wrap and plan a big meal. For starters. I just wanted to let everyone know what our Holiday Hours are for this year.
